Welcome to the memorial page for

Charles Gordon Larock

January 11, 2018

Charles Gordon Larock was born on May 7, 1959 in Kindersley, SK to the late Lloyd Larock and Margaret Boser (Larock). He is survived by his wife, Luella Marlene; son, Mark (Kelsey) Rogerson; daughters Sherri (Jessy Godin), Rachelle (Randy Reynen) and Meagan; grandsons Damien, Dominik, and Vincent; mother Margaret Boser of Saskatoon; as well as sisters Debbie (Brian) Bergen of Vanscoy, and Loretta Ham of Saskatoon; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his dad, Lloyd; father-in-law Joseph Bell; mother-in-law Luella Bell; sister-in-law Bonnie Bell; all of his grandparents; brother-in-law Carl Ham; nephew Jonathon Bergen, along with many more extended family members and his precious four-legged companion "Boots".

Charles, "Chuck", "Charlie" was raised on a farm near Mantario, SK. He attended school for as long as was possible for him to tolerate ... school wasn't for him ...  he was outta there! He helped his dad on the farm, eventually buying his own herd of cattle to raise. That didn't go well, so he decided to try his hand at something else. He worked in the oilfield near Kindersley. He met Marlene and they were married on his mom's birthday January 18, 1986 in Kindersley. They moved to numerous AB communities, but they have been in Red Deer area for many years now.

He loved hockey, football, horses, dogs, cats and camping. His work passion turned out to be his oilfield work in the capacity of truck driving - which he excelled at. Unfortunately, or actually fortunately, due to the recent oilfield downturn, Chuck ended up working for Jim Wyatt - who considered him to be like a son - as well as a very valued employee. He began with Jim's company Hurricane Energy Services, where his most recent endeavor was pulling auto hauling trailers.

His 3 girls and grandsons were his everything. Chuck was also a devoted husband. He only recently met his first-born child, but it meant a lot to both of the men involved. How relieved he must have been to not have to keep that secret anymore as he had only told a few select people! His loving, caring connections to his birth family, extended families, close friends, and numerous "adopted" children shows he had a huge heart along with great family values.

Chuck was generally a quiet man of very few words, but when he spoke it was from the heart. He was a great listener! That "big teddy bear" also gave the most fantastic hugs. There was usually a cheshire, devilish grin on his face that will be dearly missed and remembered forever, by all whose lives he touched.
