Gwenith Alberta (Earle) Jones

Our beautiful petite angel Gwen was born in Dodsland, Saskatchewan. She was married on October 22, 1949 in Victoria, British Columbia to Stan Jones. They lived there and raised their three sons. After their retirements, Gwen and Stan moved to Alberta in 1997.

Gwen was a member of the I.O.F. Forester’s for almost 50 years and with Stan, they ran the Victoria I.O.F. bowling league for 43 years. Gwen was a dedicated volunteer for many organizations such as scouts, sports and numerous seniors’ centres in Greater Victoria.

Gwen leaves to mourn, her loving husband Stan of 67 years and her two sons Les (Debbie) and Ross (Noelle); brother Lorne (Sharon), sister in law Edna, daughter in law Jean; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Gwen is predeceased by her eldest son Earle, her mom and dad, and two sisters.

Gwen’s family would like to extend many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Ponoka Centennial Centre for their care and compassion to Gwen and family. As per Gwen’s request, no services will be held.
