Mr. David Frederick ‘Hugh’ Picketts

February 10, 1944 - January 14, 2018

Hugh Picketts passed away peacefully with his family at his side January 14, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife Carol; his 3 children Patty Goudreau (Gil), Tammy Picketts (Stew), and Todd (Dianna); his 5 grandchildren Clayton Masur, Chantel Hancik (Sam), Clint Carson, Cierra Carson (Isaac) and Carter Carson (Anna); his two beautiful great granddaughters Bailey and Porscha; and his great granddaughter and his first great grandson that will be arriving this year; 8 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; sisters Marlene (Eric), Charm (Bill), Jeanette, Linda (Bert) and brother Terry (Diana), sister in laws Peggy Averill (Bob) and Penny McIntyre (Rob) as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His puppy Lilo held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by both his parents Willam and Margaret Picketts. Hugh enjoyed countless hours fishing, camping and sharing his love of nature with his family. He cherished his special friendships he accumulated over the years.

A Celebration of Hugh’s Life will be held on Monday, January 22nd, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Festival Hall, 4214-58 St., Red Deer, AB.

Memorial donations may be made to Stars Ambulance or the SPCA.
