Isabelle (Mueller) Haefliger

Mrs. Isabelle Haefliger passed away August 10, 2016, at the age of 56, at the Lacombe Hospital with her husband at her side.
Isabelle was born May 26, 1960 in Switzerland to Klaus and Ruth Mueller. She grew up in the small town of Staffelbach, with her brother and sister. At the age of 22, she married her husband Hans Haefliger. Shortly after their marriage in 1982, they immigrated to Canada.
They bought a dairy farm in the Woodynook area where Isabelle lived until her passing.
Isabelle had a passion for farming, always had a large garden and kept a beautiful yard.

She was always involved in the community, especially the St. Andrews United Church.

Isabelle will be lovingly remembered by her husband Hans, and her children David, Sarah and Samuel. She will be missed by her mother Ruth, her brother Urs and wife Gaby, her nieces Laura and Livia, and her sister Karin and her husband Dieter, all in Switzerland.

Isabelle was predeceased by her father Klaus.

She will also be missed by her neighbours, church friends, and people within the wider community.
The family would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and supporting staff at the Red Deer Cancer Clinic, who cared for Isabelle.

A visitation for Isabelle will be held on Thursday August 18, 2016 at 7:00pm at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel & Crematorium (6120, Highway 2A, Lacombe, AB).
A funeral service will take place on Friday August 19, 2016 at 1:30pm at the St. Andrews United Church (5226 51 Avenue, Lacombe, AB).
