Theodor "Ted" Bachleitner Obituary

Theodor “Ted” Bachleitner passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Ted was born on October 24, 1941 in Edmonton, Alberta and was raised on the family farm in the Fort Saskatchewan area. Ted attended Vermilion Agriculture College following high school and went on to farm for many years. For the last 23 years of his working career, along with farming, Ted also worked in the building construction business in the Lacombe area.

In their retirement years, Ted and Jessielee loved to travel around Alberta and BC in their truck and camper and later with their 5th wheel trailer. They spent many of these trips in the Banff area which they loved and one of the last major excursions they ventured to Alaska. Ted’s real passion was his love of people, he was always inquiring about what was happening with everybody’s families (particularly the children). Anyone that knew Ted will remember him for his big smile, infectious laugh, and of course his stories. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Ted was predeceased by his parents and brothers Donald and Stuart. He is survived by his loving wife Jessielee (Helm), his sons Lenard and Lyle Trca; 6 grandchildren; his brother Art Bachleitner of Edmonton; numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, as well as nieces and nephews.

As per Ted’s request, there will be no funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
