SERGINSON, Theresa Jean “Terry”

1949-2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Jean Serginson announces her sudden passing on Feb 2nd, 2018 at the age of 68 years.

Terry was born in Calgary AB on April 11th, 1949 to William and Frances Kostynuik. Terry and family moved to Fort Nelson BC in 1962 where she met and married John Serginson in 1966. They made Fort Nelson BC their home and raised 3 children. After 46 years in Fort Nelson together Terry & John retired to Lacombe AB in 2012 where she lived the remainder of her life.

Mourning her passing is her husband of 52 years, John Serginson; her daughter, Kitty-Ann (Kevin) Freeborn of Edson AB; her sons, Richard (Shawna) Serginson of Strathmore AB, and Kim Serginson of Clive AB. Also mourning her passing are her grandchildren, Tessica, Kelsea and Cassandra Freeborn. Curt, April, Cohen, Jessica and Dylan Serginson. Robyn, Krystin and Ryan Serginson; and great granddaughter, Alexis McNeice.  Also left to mourn are her siblings, Sheila (Leonard) Brash of Bruno SK, Cheri-Lyn (Richard) Robinson of Edmonton AB, Michael (Bella) Kostynuik of Wonowon BC, and Valorie Kostynuik of Edmonton AB; along with many nieces and nephews.  Terry is predeceased by her parents William and Frances Kostynuik.

Terry had a kind and generous soul. She loved her family dearly. She was an avid golfer, curler, and loved to travel. Her other hobbies included historical & space trivia, crochet, gardening, and bird watching. You would often see her at the Kozy Korner Community Centre in Lacombe AB visiting with other seniors.
