I used to know Ashlynn back in high school, I still have this picture of her pretending to bonk me on the head while I was making a cross armed devil horns gesture while sticking my tongue out with my eyes rolled back. I never got to see her afterwards, but I had always hoped to see her again at the Lindsay Thurber High School reunion. She was always sought after for her art and creativity especially in the anime spectrum and she was a good friend to all. I miss her, and it's hard to believe it's been over a year since she transitioned from our world to the next and I hope one day I can meet her again...Rest In Peace Ash, we will miss you always.

I, as well as many others, knew Ashlynn through the Red Deer Royals. She was a very quiet girl with a broad imagination. She was a great friend to everyone and always had such a positive attitude even in the worst of situations. She was an exceptional musician and artist. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know she will be missed by everyone who had the privelege to know her. My thoughts are with your family.

Dear Handy Family,

I am so sorry for your loss, I remember Ashlynn well from Royals. I was very lucky to sit next to her in rehearsals for a year, and I remember how friendly she always was. I am very sorry I was unable to come to her service today, because even though I didn't know her well after we left Royals, I remember how genuine and kind she was and her passing has affected me greatly. Her bright smile and easy laughter will live on in my mind, as I'm sure it will many others. I pray for peace and comfort for your family during this time and for the years to come, and may you be a blessing to each other as Ashlynn was to you and everyone she knew.

Dear Cathy and family

Although we live miles apart I think of you often, especially now during this time of loss.  Our hearts go out to you cous.  It is such a terrible loss especially someone so young and full of hopes and dreams.  May she rest in peace knowing there were many people who knew her well and others who did not but loved her so dearly.

Your cousin Leanne (and John)

Words can not express the sadness that we felt when we heard of Ashlynn's passing. We came to know Ashlynn while she and Brad were together.  Keep her memory in your heart, and she will live forever.

Dear Catherine and family,
I was greatly saddened to hear of Ashlynn's passing.  She was such a wonderfully talented and personable young woman.  During her teen years Ashlynn was a loved and valuable member of the Red Deer Royals.  On behalf of the Royals organization I extend our collective sympathies to you and your family at this difficult time.  My sincere regrets that I will be unable to attend Ashlynn's memorial service due to being out of the country.
Best regards,
Rob

To the Handy family - I was so shocked to hear of your loss. Though I didn't know Ashlynn very well, I knew her smiling face through the Thievin family and through the Red Deer Royals. I had been in contact with her over recent months as I was very interested in all that she was up to in Toronto. I was so proud of her for making the big leap to persue her very big and ambitious dreams. She was a very talented and positive person, and it is a great loss to all of those who knew her. You all are in my thoughts and prayers
