Beverley Joanne (Burluck) Foord

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our much cherished mum, nanny and great nanny who passed away at Lacombe with her daughters by her side.

Bev was born and raised in Calgary, where she met and married Ron, her loving husband of 65 years. They remained in Calgary and raised their 4 children and enjoyed a life full of family, friends and many, many great times.

In 2012 they moved to Lacombe to be closer to family. Family and friends meant the world to Bev and her face lit up whenever she saw any of them.

Bev was a hardworking, independent person as well. She had a long career as a bookkeeper and also taught computer programming at IBM.

Bev had a busy active life and loved the outdoors, especially the mountains where many weekends were spent with her family; skiing, hiking and camping. Bev also enjoyed many other activities, including, golfing, curling and cooking. She also loved to play cards and travel.

Bev was  kind and caring  and had a zest for life that could always be seen through her beautiful bright eyes.  We will miss her, always.

Bev is survived by her daughters, Shannon (Jeff), Kim (Bob), Judy (Vince); grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica), Kurt (Emelie), Erin, Kendra, Andrea, Donovan (Jessica), Evan (Taryn), Sydney (Lucas), Brianna (Gareth), Brenden (Jordanna), Kirstin (Nick); great grandchildren, Jasper, Hanna, Noa, Tyler, Nicole, Cameron, Rylin, Graydon, Carson, Gage, Mila, Zayda and Kalla.  She is also survived by many  nieces, nephews.

Bev is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ron, her son, Scott,  her sister, June and husband Ed (Foster),  her brothers, Frank and his wife Carla (Burluck)  and Ken and his wife Barb (Burluck ), and her parents Michael and Annabelle Burluck

Family and Friends are invited to join us in a Celebration of Bev’s life on November 24th, 2018 from 1:00 pm at LMC (County Room).
