Doris Isabel (Bradley) Morehouse

Doris Isabel Morehouse passed away peacefully at the Lacombe Care Centre on November 14, 2017.  Doris was born in Lacombe on December 2, 1920, the youngest child of John and Ada Bradley.  She was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters, and her husband, Jim Morehouse. 

Doris’ education included Sunny Crest Public School, Lacombe High School and nurses training at the University of Alberta Hospital.  She was a member of the Alberta Association of Registered Nurses, St. Andrew’s United Church, and the Lincoln Community Circle.  Doris enjoyed life to its fullest serving family and friends. 

She is survived by her children, Ann Rice (Edward) and Don Morehouse (Heidi); two grandsons, Graeme (Christina) and Gary Rice (Erynn); and four great grandchildren, Walker, Archer, Spencer and Hadley.  The family would like to acknowledge with gratitude the caring staff at the Lacombe Care Centre.  These fine workers made this Mom’s home the last several years. 

A Memorial Service celebrating Doris’ life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 5226 – 51 Avenue, Lacombe AB on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations are gratefully received by the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta or St. Andrew’s Memorial Fund.
