Elizabeth (Payne) Simms

It is with the heaviest and saddest of hearts that our family inform you that our beautiful, funny and loving mom, Elizabeth (Betty) Simms, was called home to our Lord. Our beautiful mother and grandmother gained her wings on September 2, 2018, a day that has changed our lives forever.

A faithful woman of God, Betty devoted her life to sharing the love she received from Christ with all whose lives she touched. We will never forget her unconditional love, support, charisma, strength and courage throughout her life. We are eternally proud and thankful to call her our mom.

Born January 31, 1940 to Harry Payne and Millicent Hillier in Badger, Newfoundland.

She married Watson Simms on May 23, 1970 and raised 3 loving daughters and the boy she never had, her faithful companion, Fluffy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Millicent Payne; Sister Doris Vaters; brothers Cyril and Bert Payne.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Watson; Her children Vanessa and husband Chad, Joanne and husband Rod, Debbie and husband Chris. Grandchildren; Ryan, Zachary, Megan, Alyssa, Michael, Chloe.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Lacombe Pentecostal Church on Thursday, September 06, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
