ANDERSON, Ellwood Oliver

1937 – 2019

 It is with very heavy hearts the family of Ellwood “Woody” Oliver Anderson of Bentley, AB, announce his passing on February 24, 2019 at the age of 81 years.  He passed away at the Rimbey Hospital after an extremely courageous struggle with many health issues.  Ellwood was born to Gordon and Julia Anderson of Bentley, AB on August 3, 1937 and has lived in the area practically all of his life.  Left to mourn is his dedicated and loving wife of 59 years, Shirley (nee Chatwood); his sons, David (Roxanne), Brian (Lorna); grandchildren Travis (Leslie), Amanda (Shaun), Marci (Andru) and their mom Holly Anderson, Carlee (Ryan), Lyndsay (Brett), Jodi (Kyle) and Vanessa; as well as seven very precious great grandchildren.  Ellwood is also survived by six brothers and three sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Ellwood’s Life will be held at Bentley Community Church on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.  Memorial donations in Ellwood’s honour may be directed to Vig Cemetery, c/o Grace Lutheran Church, Box 298, Bentley, Alberta T0C 0J0.
