Els (Kramer) Ebens

After a long and full life, Els Ebens went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on September 11, 2018. She was born Elsje Kramer on February 2, 1927 in Nieuw Helvoet, the Netherlands, and immigrated to Canada in 1956. Els met and married Dick Ebens in 1961, and together they made their home in Edson. Five children were born to them there. In 1973, the family moved to Lacombe.

Mom loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a gifted singer and often used her talent to sing praises to God. Mom and Dad, as a couple, enjoyed serving together in their church as custodians, and in other capacities until Dad’s passing in 1992.

Els will be remembered by her children: Cora (Ed) Stol, Selina (Mark) Patterson, Marcella (Craig) Van Stryland, Marvin (Jeanne) Ebens, and Wilf (Friedle) Ebens; as well as by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Lacombe.
