I have many memories of Uncle Garry at both of Grandma and Grandpa's home's in Slave Lake and Lacombe, comic books stacked all around, notebooks full of numbers and Star Trek on TV. Vanilla ice cream for desert after one of Grandma's beautiful meals. I was lucky to have Garry as an uncle as I do not doubt that from a young age, he taught me to be inclusive and mindful of people's differences and I am thankful for that. I wish that I could be in Canada to say goodbye with my family, we will no doubt be there in spirit and send our love.

I have so many memories of Uncle Garry. Lounged in Grandma and Grandpa’s home both in Slave Lake and Lacombe, comic books all around, numbers filled his notebooks and Star Treck on TV. Vanilla ice cream after Grandma’s beautiful meals. Having such a special Uncle in my life taught me to be kind and inclusive, Im sure from a young age so thank you Garry. I send my love from Australia and am with my family in spirit as we say goodbye.

My thoughts are with you aunty Peggy and uncle Alvin. I am so sorry to hear of Garry's passing. I am glad you were able to enjoy so many special years with him. My fondest memory is when we would come to visit you in Slave Lake and when I had pig tails Garry would point and smile, he liked them He had such a kind heart and smile and that is because he had such an amazing family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

My prayers and thoughts are with Uncle Alvin and Aunt Peggy and family. I have fond memories of Garry as a teen. When visiting my Grandpa and Grandma. (Bob and Annie. ) he was such kind soul and loved his encyclopedias. Garry will be missed.
