November 28, 1972 - January 13, 2020

The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of Giovanni Canlas on January 13th, 2020 in his home, surrounded by his family. Giovanni is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, and children Jon Carlo, Jeanna, Joshua and Jealianne. He is predeceased by his parents, Benjamin Sr and Nonita Canlas.

Giovanni started his life in Canada in 2008, where he worked at McDonald’s in Ponoka. He gained a lot of friends in that time and was able to meet the rest of his relatives in Edmonton as well. In 2015, Giovanni was diagnosed with Stage 4 Nasopharyngeal Cancer and he fought a good strong battle for those 5 years.

One of Giovanni’s favourite songs is 25 minutes too late.  

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mary Ann. 

A Public Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 Midnight at Wilson's Funeral Chapel Lacombe.

A Public Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery Lacombe. Please meet at Wilson's Funeral Chapel prior to join in procession to the cemetery.
