James David Hill

Mr. James David Hill passed away peacefully at Royal Oak Manor in Lacombe, AB on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the age of 94 years.  James was born on August 20, 1923 in Los Angeles, California to Jim and Adella Hill.  When he was a young boy, the family moved to the family farm in Alberta, where James spent his entire life.  He had promised his dying mother that he would look after his father, and he honoured that promise.  James was always a gentleman, who enjoyed old time music and dances.  James loved his cattle and loved his dogs - who were always named Sparky.  James is survived by his special friends, Ray and Audrey Tinsley and their family; special cousin, Alan Hill; numerous extended family members and friends. He is predeceased by his parents.  A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Lacombe, Alberta.  James supported many patient-care charities, and memorial donations in his honour may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
