EVANYSHYN, Jeanette Catherine

August 26, 1953 - November 15, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jeanette Evanyshyn after a short battle with leukaemia cancer at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the age of 66 years.  She will be sadly missed by her loved and cherished husband of 36 years, Kenneth Green; her 3 brothers and sisters-in-law; her three nieces and 2 nephews and their families; her precious cousins in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as her special friend, Audrey. Jeanette was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan and raised in Cando, Saskatchewan, but spent most of her life in Lacombe. Her dedication, honesty, integrity and sincerity carried through from her personal life into her professional life.  She worked for 4 large companies in the City of Lacombe before retiring from DB Bobcat Services.  She maintained friendships with all her past employers and made many dear friends with her co-workers.  After her retirement she and Kenneth travelled extensively in both Canada and USA, travelling from Victoria, British Columbia to St. John’s Newfoundland and Branson, Missouri to Memphis, Tennessee, also travelling to San Diego, California and Anchorage, Alaska, by land and by sea.  They travelled to 32  of the 50 States and made many friends along the way.  They spend the last 30 gorgeous winters in Yuma with their Canadian and American friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and caregivers for the care and compassion shown to Jeannette and support and concern for Kenneth during Jeannette’s journey at both the Lacombe Hospital and the Red Deer Regional Cancer Centre.
