Lightbown, Jenna Jo Labella

(March 13, 1993 – June 6, 2018)

Jenna Jo was born March 13, 1993 in Lacombe, Alberta.  She is survived by her parents Kerry David and Nancy Jo and her sister, Hailey Jo along with her grandmother, Patricia Lightbown, Uncle Keith and Auntie Pam Lightbown, Auntie Julie and Uncle Trevor Feragen, Auntie Heather Lightbown and cousins Sara and Jillian Lightbown and Owen, Kendra and Karlee Feragen, her Godparents Doug and Geri Gordon as well as numerous extended family members.  She is predeceased by her grandparents, Frank Wendell and Labella Jo Henkle and David Earl Lightbown; her Uncles Chris and Tony Maples, Greg Henkle and Leslie Lightbown and her cousin Emily Lightbown.

Jenna Jo came into the world ahead of schedule and never stopped doing the unexpected.  She lived her life doing everything her own way and not only surprising those who knew her but the medical profession as well. 

Some of her favourite times were spent with her Uncle Harry and Auntie Betty Meyers, Granddad John and Grandmom Joan MacKenzie and her adopted sister Jen Schorr.  The days she was in attendance at Parkland School provided her with some of her happiest moments.

When they say it takes a village to raise a child, they are telling the truth.  Her village consisted of those previously named, the Action Group and the numerous aides that have been a part of her life, the staff and students at Parkland School, the doctors in Lacombe, Red Deer and Edmonton but especially Dr. Keller who made house calls when necessary and never hesitated to answer the phone in the middle of the night.  The last 25 years would not have been possible without the support and assistance of this village.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Stars Air Ambulance, as Jenna Jo was a frequent flier having travelled with them three times.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, on Sunday, June 10th, 2018 at 4:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel, Lacombe on Tuesday, June 12th , 2018 at 2:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made by visiting www.wilsonsfuneralchapel.ca.
