Joyce Mary (nee Griffiths) GALE

July 30, 1924 - May 23, 2018

It is with broken hearts that the family of Joyce Gale announces that she went home to the Good Lord on May 23, 2018 at the age of 93 years.  She leaves behind her daughter, Carolyn (Berry) Hager; with grandchildren, Lyle (Kayla) and Devin (Dawn) Gorski; great grandchildren, Taiya and Kylie, Alexis and Brandan; daughter-in-law, Charlene Gale; with grandchildren, Kendra, John and Michael; daughter-in-law, Jackie Gale; with grandchildren, Amanda(Cameron)Gale-Cook, Amber(Kevin) Kulyk and Delaney(Amanda) Gale; great grandchildren, Cole, Ty and Chloe, Mila, Billy and Christopher.  Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Frank in Jan 2009; son, Chris Gale in Sept 2006; son, Stephen in Feb 2018; and son-in-law, Norman Gorski in Sept 1993.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Rimbey Hospital and Care Center and Dr. DeBruyn for the wonderful care Joyce received while waiting for long term placement.  Thank you to the Bentley Care Center - your excellent care and compassion for Joyce is very much appreciated, more than you will ever know. She truly enjoyed the time she spent with you! Thank you to the Lacombe Hospital, the palliative Care staff and Dr. Unger for the comfort you gave Joyce while she was there.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 5509 - 50 Street, Rimbey, AB on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with Father Les Drewicki, celebrant.  Interment of the urn will follow at West Haven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta at www.heartandstroke.com, or to a charity of your choosing.
