Leon Doetzel Obituary

Leon Doetzel

October 31, 1950 – September 22, 2019

Leon is survived by his devoted wife Carol; Son, Shilo (Paula) Doetzel; Stepsons, Lance (Jessica) Bick, Patrick Bick; Grandchildren, Orianna Bick, Jensen Bick; Siblings, Rod (Cathy), Gary (Lois), Marlene (Irvin), Sister in-law JoAnne Doetzel, and by many nieces and nephews.

Leon is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Flora Doetzel, and twin brother, Leonard Doetzel.

Leon was a plumber and in 1990 he moved to Kerrobert, SK, where he met and married Carol Miller. He loved to work with wood, go fishing and enjoyed gardening. Leon was the gentlest of gentle men. He was filled with joy of life until he became ill in 2013. He fought hard to stay with us but wore out. He passed away peacefully in his sleep.

A special thanks to Dr. Chatel and the Nurses in Lacombe, Red Deer and Saskatchewan.
