Our West Park Junior High reunion is coming up. I was thinking back to some old staff that i remember. I recall "Mrs. Soper" as being a vary caring and nurturing teacher's aide. I went to look her up, and I saw the obituary. Sad that this earth no longer has this angel!

We have fond memories of Mary. Watching her interaction with the students at Lindsay Thurber was a display of her love for them. The banter back and forth as we worked together, her computer dilemmas and the offers of who knows how many types of tea she had stashed are just a few things that made up Mary. A wonderful lady.

I was so very sad to read about Mary's passing. She was my first pottery teacher, and taught me so much. I can still hear her voice in my head giving me encouragement when I am throwing clay. She was also an amazing potter, and I was so excited when she joined our pottery club a few years back. She was an enthusiastic contributor to our charity donation of chili bowls to GrammaLink. I was always hoping that she would join us again when she was up to it. She will be missed! My condolences to all of her family.
