Mildred "Millie" Vooys

Mildred "Millie" Vooys nee Anderson age 78 passed away peacefully on June 10 2019 at Ponoka Hospital with her daughters by her side.

 Born in Assiniboia Sask, she was the daughter of Peter and Irene Anderson and sister to 12 siblings. Millie married in 1959 and raised her family in Langley B.C. and returned to the Red Deer area in 1986.

Millie was always a tireless worker who took pride in a job well done. She was employed by Travel Lodge until her retirement in 2006.
Millie enjoyed gardening, puzzles and music, but her greatest joy was in the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters Diane and Dorothy, grandchildren and great grandchildren. .As well as siblings and many nieces and nephews. Also her beloved cat Annie who loves only her.
Millie was predeceased by her parents, her husband Bud Vooys and oldest daughter Debbie.

A celebration of her life will be held at Wilson Funeral Chapel Wednesday June 26, 2019 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.ca.
