Rhonda Jean (Hollingshead) Olson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Rhonda Jean Olson (Hollingshead) on January 17, 2020. Rhonda was born in Pincher Creek, AB on September 9th, 1957, the second of four children, and daughter of Betty and George Hollingshead. Rhonda was predeceased by her mother, brother Lorne, and father.

Rhonda is survived by her loving children, Chase Lock (Emily Parry) and Charissa Lee (Matthew Lee), brother, Randy Hollingshead, sister, Virginia Metro, extended family and an abundance of amazing friends.

Rhonda grew up with her family in the Central Alberta area, residing primarily in Lacombe, AB. She enjoyed spending quality time with her close friends at a cabin in the fall. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, sewing, reading, among many other things. She was a devoted manager at the Lacombe CO-OP, and instilled the same work ethic into her children. She will be greatly missed by all.

We will be holding a Celebration of Rhonda’s Life on Sunday, February 2nd from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the Lacombe Memorial Centre (Country Room).

As there will be no formal program, this will be a come and go as you wish event.

We ask that you bring any photos or stories you would like to share. We will have a memorial table set up.
