Robert (Bob) Wesley Wilkes was born July 3, 1930, in Lacombe, Alberta and passed away peacefully at the Extended Care Unit, Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre with his loving family by his side on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Marilyn; four children, Daryl Wilkes (Yvonne), Brenda Pletz (Dennis), Lynn Patton (Grant), and Reg Wilkes (Gaylene); fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and an abundance of friends in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and the United Kingdom.

Bob was predeceased by his mother, Ida (1949); his father, Thomas (1966), and his step-mother, Beatrice (1975); brothers, Donald (2009), Reg (1975) and John/Jack (2008); and sister, Elizabeth/Betty (1975).

Bob’s life was filled with love, his death a gentle one. He will be missed deeply by many. As per Bob's request, no formal funeral will take place. There will be a private family interment. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
