Ronald Black Obituary

Ronald William Black

1958 - 2019

Ronald Black of Mirror, Alberta, passed away suddenly on March 22, 2019 at the age of 60 years.

Ron was born in Toronto to Thomas and Wilma Black. he was the youngest brother to sisters Wanda, Karen and Janice.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Ron excelled in the culinary trade as a chef and baker. As a young man, Ron followed his sister to Alberta. He worked in many camps throughout Western and Northern Canada. His food was legendary, as was his guitar playing. He filled the bellies of thousands. Ronnie made many life long friends during those years.

Ronnie met Tammy, the love of his life, in August 1989. With Tammy and her son Brandon, the son of Ron’s heart, they became a family. When Jessica was born in 1991, Ron was so proud and filled with joy. A granddaughter, Destiny, brought more love to the family in 2001.

Ron was a man of many passions. He loved to play guitar and was very talented. He was an avid fisherman, however, when fishing with his kids, he usually got skunked!

Ronnie loved his pets with all his heart and spoiled them whenever he could. They loved him back.

Ron is survived by his love, Tammy; son, Brandon; daughter, Jessica; granddaughter Destiny; and mother in-law Marilyn Lane. Ron is also survived by his mother, Wilma Black; sisters, Wanda D’ambrosio, Karen Black, and special sister Janice and brother in-law Robert Templeton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Ronnie was the best dad and friend to his kids and granddaughter, in the world. He was a loving and kind partner.

All that knew him will miss his laugh, smile and presence, but his spirit with them always.

We hope there are dogs at your knees around the campfire, the fish are biting, and the guitar sounds the best it ever has. Love you
