Rose Marie (Veevers) Winslow

Mrs. Rose Winslow of Lacombe, AB passed away in Bashaw, AB on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the age of 87 years. 

Rose was born in Lacombe, AB to John and Sarah Veevers.  She loved living “farm life” until moving into town in 1998.  Rose was an avid gardener.  She loved to lend her extremely green thumb to make anything and everything grow in abundance.  She and her husband, Jim, enjoyed long Sunday drives through the countryside. 

Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brian Winslow (Barb) and Phyllis Hill (Doug); 4 grandchildren, Sherry Rowe (Neil), Daryl Hill (Jeanette), Chelsey Evans (Grant) and Lindsay Winslow; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.  She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Jim, as well as her only sister, Alice. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Lacombe, AB, with a tea immediately following at the Kozy Korner, 5024 – 53 Street, Lacombe.
