Ruth Bochinski passed away on August 19, 2019

Ruth is survived by loving and devoted children: Sylvia/Don Bagwell, Ginny Soulsby, Ralph/Angie Bochinski. Grandchildren: Jetta/John Baynard, Heidi/Matt Mullenix, Nathan Soulsby, Vikki/Daniel Voth, Jordon and Jason Bagwell, Cayden Bochinski. Great grandchildren: Sara, Solomon, Anna, Gracie, Isaac, Faith. Ruth is also survived by her sister Isolde “Erika”Jene and nieces, Evelyn/Rob Brydon, Carolin/Arlen Kapiniak and Christine/Tracey Kundert and extended family and friends.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents Otto and Viktoria Stargardt, her brothers Herwig and Lothar, husband Hugo Bochinski and grandson Braylen Bochinski.

Ruth came to Canada in 1952 from Germany. She met Hugo in Toronto and they were married May 20, 1955.  They resided in Ontario where they raised their 3 children.  They retired out to Peachland, BC in the early 1990’s.  Ruth enjoyed painting, stained glass work, needlework, cooking and baking.  In 2010, they moved to Lacombe, Alberta to be closer to family. 

Private family viewing will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel in Lacombe, AB, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. at the Gull Lake Cemetery.

Special thanks to all the staff at the Royal Oak Manor for the compassionate care they provided to Ruth during her residency there.
