Scott Daniel Klopstra

February 19, 1988 - August 21, 2019

Our beloved Son and Brother Scott Klopstra left this world much too early on August 21, 2019. Born on February 19, 1988, Scott was a delightful child with a love for nature, animals and bugs. He enjoyed caring for calves, lizards and snakes, and went on to a career in caring for people.

Scott worked as an RN in the Lacombe Hospital for seven years; he called work his “Happy Place”. Landscaping his yard in Blackfalds was a favorite hobby and he loved to grow berries and fruit trees. He happily shared his garden produce and homemade wines with friends. His other passion was working out at the gym, where he forged strong connections with caring people.

The final months of Scott’s life were difficult, but he was well supported by the health care system, his doctor, his counselor, and especially caring friends. Scott was loved well by many and will be very missed by patients, colleagues and family, but we will meet again. For now, Scott leaves behind his wife, Whitney Klopstra Ramsden; Parents, Darryl and Alice Klopstra; Brothers, Joshua (Michelle) Klopstra, Christopher Klopstra (Vanessa Hawker); and Sister, Jessica (Jesse) Szabo.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lacombe Memorial Centre, 5214 50 Ave, Lacombe, AB T4L 0B6.
