Suzan immigrated to Sylvan Lake with her war bride mother in 1945, joining father Louis, establishing the family farm west of Bentley.

As well as selling her art at shows across western Canada, she was commissioned by various cattle and horse associations to provide awards and sculptures to promote their breeds. Another of her passions was her involvement with youth in 4H and pony clubs. She will be sorely missed by the people whose live she touched in these endeavours.
