PARKER, Wilma Joyce  (nee Thomson)

1928 - 2019

The family of Wilma Parker wishes to announce her peaceful passing  after a lengthy illness at Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre, Ponoka, Alberta, December 17th, 2019. She was predeceased by her loving husband Thomas (2012), daughter Catherin 2007 (Philip) and son Robert (1962). 

Mother of Brenda (Taffy), Deborah, Stephen (Linda) and Caroline (John). Dear Grand mom to Jesse (Cathy), Lauren (John), Emilie (Stuart), Roberta, and Adam. Great-Grand mom to Brooklyn and Charity.

Aunt to Dean, Scott and Step Aunt to Joanne, Gordon, Diane, Roger, Michael and Richard.

Wilma was a member of the Daughters of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of Rebekah.

Wilma is also predeceased by her two sisters Madeline (1978) Ann (1992) and step sister Frances (2009). 

Special remembrance to Wilma’s “Life long friends” Eric and Lorraine Bowling and their children, Vance, Erin Sue , Glynis and Carla. To Patrica Jane LaMarche and her husband Darion for their friendship of many years as well as Vena Schanks ( Reg);  Ron Young and friend Yvonne Bradey

Thanks to Dr. Paris and staff of Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre who cared for Wilma over the last months as well as (Beth and Emily) and staff of Carolina Retirement Residence in Perth, Ontario, Canada.

A private Funeral will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario where Wilma will be laid to rest with her father William Walter Thomson, mother Gladys Rason, her sister Madeline and husband of 37 years Thomas Campbell Finley Parker. 

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Wilma's name to the Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.ca/en/donate/ or St. Paul's United Church, 25 Gore Street West, Perth, Ontario K7H 2L9 or a charity of your choice is appreciated.
