Agnes Mary Stoness (Montgomery) was born May 23, 1937 in Drumheller, Alberta. She passed away at the age of 84, September 05, 2021 at Lacombe Hospital with family at her side. Agnes came from a family of seven siblings, of which she was the youngest.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Leonard (Stoney), Parents Tom and Emily Montgomery, siblings Vance (Clara), Nancy (Jim), June (Gordon) Jimmy (Diane), Eugene (Margruerite), Stephen (Pat), Grandchild Megan Kingsfield and son-in-law Bruce Cook.
She is survived by her daughters Laurie (Stephen) Kingsfield, Vanessa Cook, and Kathy (Jesse) Bargholz, Grandchildren Lindsey, Heather, Stevie, Maxwell, Spencer, Kolby, Tyson, Brian and seven great grandchildren.
Agnes led a full life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her close friend Julie Potter and fellow members of the Royal Purple. She grew up on the family farm at Morrin, Alberta, attending school at Golden Grain Drumheller High School and SAIT. She met Leonard, the love of her life, and was married on November 2, 1957. They lived for many years at Bentley and Sylvan Lake. Over the last year Agnes lived between her retirement condo and daughter’s homes. Agnes will be sadly missed by her family.

A Memorial Service will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel on Saturday September 18, 2021, at 4:00 pm. Refreshments will be available following the service.
