It is with great sadness that the family of Almie Pohl announces his passing on June 29, 2026, at the age of 84.
Born on September 5, 1941, Almie was a lifelong farmer who valued hard work, family, and community. The youngest of eight siblings, Almie was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters and is survived by his loving wife Barb, his faithful companion Daisy, his sister Rose, numerous nieces, nephews and a great many friends.
A true man of the land, he spent his life rooted in the values of hard work and quiet dedication. Beyond the farm, he was a familiar and welcome face in the local community, dedicating 26 years of service to the Clive curling rink, and working faithfully for the City of Lacombe.
"A farmer's hands are now at rest."
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10a.m. at the Clive Cemetery.
Memorial Donations in honour of Almie made be directed to STARS Air Ambulance stars.ca or to a Cancer charity of your choice.
