Brenda Nemeth Obituary

It is with great sadness we share the sudden passing of Dr. Brenda Nemeth at the age of 44 after a very short but courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her loving parents, John and Dianne Nemeth; sisters, Shawna Nemeth and Rhonda Williams; brother-in-law Kris Williams; and nieces, Jillian and Madelyn Williams, as well as numerous extended family and an abundance of friends.

Brenda’s early years growing up on a farm east of Lacombe helped solidify her love of animals; especially her 3 miniature schnauzers, Buddy, Belle and Sadie. She also developed a love for nature and enjoyed tending to her plants and garden. Throughout her time in high school and college, Brenda enjoyed playing several sports such as volleyball, basketball and badminton. She also excelled academically and was committed to pursuing personal growth throughout her lifetime.

Brenda loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was going out for meals, playing cards, long chats or watching sappy movies. Brenda’s great sense of humour was infectious and who can forget her distinctive laugh! Travelling was also another joy for Brenda. She traveled to places such as Belize, South Korea, Bahamas, USA and Japan with annual trips to Mexico to her favourite resort. Brenda’s kind, caring, loving and empathetic engagement with friends and family will be deeply missed.

Professionally, Dr. Brenda was a compassionate, dedicated and visionary naturopathic doctor. In 2005 she founded the Red Deer Wellness Clinic, with the aim of providing a comprehensive and efficient way to achieve and maintain health. Her vision was to lead and facilitate access to a multi-disciplinary team, focused on patient-directed healing. Dr. Brenda was known for her intuitive approach to medicine and people admired her knowledge, caring nature, and her ability to provide quality treatments. She was more than just a doctor to her patients; she was a health facilitator, guiding them towards optimal health.

Dr. Brenda’s passion for naturopathic medicine began at a young age. After experiencing the benefits of naturopathy firsthand, she was determined to become a naturopathic doctor. Dr. Brenda pursued her dream with devotion, completing her diploma in Pre Med at Red Deer College and starting her Biological Sciences degree at the University of Calgary. Her dedication led her to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she further honed her skills.

Dr. Brenda Nemeth was not just a doctor, but a healer, a guide, and a friend. Her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she has touched and the positive impact she has made in the field of naturopathic medicine. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and dedication to her patients and her craft will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Dr. Brenda Nemeth. Your light continues to shine in the hearts of those who were privileged to know you.
