Brian (Blackie) Edward Blackmore

It is with great sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian with his family by his side at the age of 67 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Friends and family lost a great storyteller and entertainer. He sometimes worked like a mule and was as stubborn as one!

Brian was born in Lacombe and was raised in a farm outside of Blackfalds. He worked at various jobs within Central Alberta and prior to heart issues was employed at Formula Powell.

Brian is survived by his siblings, Wayne of Red Deer, Lyle of Lacombe, Theron of Lacombe, Brenda (Dale) Dennis of Blackfalds and Jason (Bridget) of Blackfalds; one nephew, Jared (Jay-Lynn); five nieces, Karla (Brent), Danser, Sheena (Jared) Pilon, Shari Kucher, Paige Blackmore and Justice Blackmore and stepdaughters Tamara and Brandy. He is also survived by Sharon Ganske and her family, Trish, Tena, Tony; grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Hannah, Abby, Brooklyn, Carter, Titan and Remi; six great grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and close friends.

Brian is predeceased by his son, Hunter and daughter, Sam; His parents Bob and Gertie Blackmore; four nephews, Travis, Craig, Jason Jr. Blackmore and Cody Dennis, and his stepdaughter, Amber.

Respecting Brian’s wishes there will be no funeral. When Covid regulations permit, there will be an outdoor party in his honor to share memories and stories.
