With sadness the family of Bruce Curry announce his passing at Lacombe Hospital on December 23, 2024 after a short illness from cancer.
Bruce moved to Alberta in 1978. He worked at a variety of jobs for a few years. He retired after over thirty years of service for Quinn (QCL) at the Joffre Plant. Bruce had a strong work ethic and was proud of the awards he received for safety from QCL.
Bruce was predeceased by his father, Robert Curry and brother-in-law, Martin Slachetka. He is survived by his mother, Jean Brown of Hemmingford, Quebec; brother, Brent Curry of Hemmingford, Quebec; sisters, Betty Curry of Ocala, Florida, and Peggy Slachetka of Mississauga, Ontario; and niece, Meghan Slachetka of Mississauga, Ontario.
We thank the doctors, support staff and the many caring nurses of both the Red Deer and Lacombe Hospitals.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in the spring in his hometown of Hemmingford, Quebec.
