It is with heavy hearts the family of Clint Loveday announce his unexpected passing on August 10, 2025 at the young age of 39 years.
He is survived by his large and loving family, his mother, Bonnie Heinamaki; sister, Chantel Loveday; Gord, Blake, Isabelle and Adalynn Beaudry; grandparents, Vern and Marilyn Heinamaki; aunts, Tracey Paul, Brandi, and Donna Heinamaki; uncles, Rob, Bill and Martin Heinamaki; cousins, Brendon, Santana, Ellyn, Austyn, Terra, and many more; half sister, Charnel Loveday; as well as numerous extended family and dear friends.
Clint is predeceased by his father, Robert Gary Loveday; and many uncles on his father’s side.
Clinton went by many nicknames: Pony Boy, Gunga, Clintwood Eastwood, and most recently, referred to as Uncle Bigfoot by his nieces and nephews. At work they lovingly dubbed him the “Energizer Bunny”.
He had an extraordinary passion for cars, has been a grease monkey since he was ten years old, and was heavily influenced by his Papa Vern. Over the years, he had collections of cars and trucks in various degrees of repair, all over Manitoba and now Alberta.
Since graduating from Grant Park High (in Winnipeg), Clint went on to aircraft mechanics, but his love for vehicles brought him back to auto mechanics and autobody work. His expertise led him to a very successful career restoring vintage cars, in fact many of said cars were showcased in the World of Wheels.
Clinton was also a true animal whisperer, any and all pets trusted and gravitated to him.
The family wishes to offer special thanks to PowPow’s Auto Industry of Lacombe, Alberta for believing in him.
A Celebration of Clint’s life will be held in the back yard of 5710 – 54 Ave, Lacombe, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 starting at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to a local Food Bank, or to a local organization or charity which supports Trades for kids.
