HEIDEN, Dale Edward

May 20, 1926 - May 9, 2021

Mr. Dale Edward Heiden passed away peacefully at the Bethany CollegeSide, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the age of 94 years. 

Dale was born to Charles Edward Heiden and Verna May Heiden (nee Blood) one of 6 children; Della Stanford(d), Bill(d), Bud(d), Jay(d) and Delores. Dale served in the Canadian Army in the Second World War. Dale was a heavy-duty mechanic who worked on oil rigs and boats. He married Shirley Maude Townsend in 1947 and had 5 children; Dawn Opal Heiden 1951, Douglas Charles Heiden 1952-1977, Cheryl Ann Heiden 1953-53, Terry Dale Heiden 1954-1980 and Dale Edward Heiden 1955-1955. 

He married the love of his life Jeanette Klassen in 1974, they were together for 46 years. Dale was at her bedside when she passed this year. He is survived by his daughter Dawn and stepchildren Lorne and Karen Klassen, Jim and Mirjana Klassen. His stepdaughter Marcy (d 2021).

He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Roxanne and Dana Heiden; Lana, Scott, Jeanean, Dylan, Jeff, Lisa, and Ginger Klassen; his great grandchildren, Julian (d), Luis, and Reina Loeschnik; Joshua, Kayla, Emma, Jayden, Kayle, and Hazel Klassen; and Annabelle, Theodore and Kingston Cornforth; and his great great grandchild Spruce Batcheller.

Dale was a gentle man who worked hard, played hard and loved life, he will be greatly missed.
