Eleanor Dale Peters
February 17,1929 - April 30,2021
It is with great sadness that we announce that Eleanor ‘Dale’ Peters (Duffy) of Lacombe has passed away peacefully at the age of 92.
She is survived by her 3 children, Jim (Lorraine), Gordon (Diane) and Richard (Tammi), 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, 1 sister Betty Flewelling (Duffy) of Lacombe. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ken in 2013. She was also predeceased by 2 sisters.
Dale Peters was born to Vincent and Margaret Duffy of Clive in February 1929. She met and married her husband in 1952 and moved to Edmonton where they raised their 3 sons. Later they returned to the Lacombe area, first living in Penhold and then Blackfalds before finally returning to Lacombe.
Mom had worked for many years in reception at the Lacombe Hospital and volunteered with the ladies auxiliary. She spent many hours knitting, crocheting and making quilts, which were
donated to the ladies auxiliary and the hospital. Also she spent many hours making quilts for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom loved singing and spent many enjoyable hours singing with groups at different events. She was also blessed to have many friends in Lacombe.
We would like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Royal Oak Assisted Living and Memory Care for their support and taking such great care of Dale over her later years.
A private family graveside funeral service will be held at the Lacombe Cemetery on June 10th, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
