Darlene 'Bobbi' Elizabeth (Meier) Kargaard

Bobbi Kargaard passed away on June 23, 2018 after a short battle to overcome the effects of a stroke. 

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Rick Kargaard; children, Carmen (Ken) Lacey, Donna (Keith) Rose, Pearl Morey, and Darce (Rosa) Morey; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Stan) Gillespie; brothers, Marvin (Rose) Meier and Darryl Meier; as well as numerous extended family and many dear friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, Arley and Gladys Meier; her oldest son, Charles; sister, Korrine; and her first husband and first love David Morey. 

Bobbi was born May 6, 1939 at Star City, Saskatchewan.  She lived variously in Red Deer, AB, Winnipeg, MB, Summerside and Kensington, PEI, Lacombe, Bashaw, Big Valley, and Mirror, AB. 

Bobbi's favourite animal (apart from her pets) was the dragonfly, which suited her well as, like a dragonfly, she was beautiful, colourful, and energetic.  She was commonly seen walking her pets in all kinds of weather, brightly dressed and radiant as ever.  

Bobbi was forced to make many difficult decisions in her life and had many health problems.  She faced it all with a fortitude typical of the little spitfire she was often described as.  She was a friend of everyone she met and became a bright spot in the lives of most.  Much love follows her from this life and she will ever be fondly remembered. 

A Celebration of Bobbi’s Life will be held at the Mirror Community Hall, Mirror, AB on Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, to which all are welcome.
