Donovan Eugene King

Donovan Eugene King passed away at Royal Oak in Lacombe, AB on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 8:20a.m., his five-year fight with dementia is now over.  Donovan was six days short of his 90th birthday.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Suzan Jane; sons, David and Robert King; daughter, Cathy Robins; stepson, Wade; and stepdaughter, Andrea Klevyer; plus grandchildren and great grandchildren, and spouses; as well as extended family and dear friends.  Donovan was sadly predeceased by his sons, Richard and Douglas; grandson Michael; stepson, Kent Babcock; and stepgrandson, Ryan Babcock.

Donovan enjoyed golf, snowmobiling, and river boating.  He was a Kinsman in Rocky Mountain House and K-40 in Lacombe.  Donovan served as President of Pine Hills Golf Course, and Lacombe Golf & County Club for short terms.  He and Suzan loved the winters snowbirding in Indio, California.

Rest in Peace, Donovan.
