Dora Mabel (Anderson) MacLean

1923 - 2020

Dora passed peacefully at the Bentley Care Centre on June 22, 2020. She would have been 97 on July 17th. 

Born to John and Mabel Anderson of Forshee, Dora was the youngest of five daughters - by 10 minutes! She loved being a twin! Dora married and lived in Calgary for 30 years, raising their daughter Janice.

Returning to Bentley in the early 80’s to care for her mother, Dora was well known for her beautifully manicured yard complete with masses of silk flowers, her hair, her fashion sense, and her beloved 1986 Cutlass Supreme.

She was handy with a paintbrush and anything that could be painted was. Dora loved a good joke and any time was coffee time.

Her great passion was dancing. A joy she shared with her dear friend Ernie.

Her Family and Friends will gather on Monday, June 29, 2020 for an intimate graveside service.

Janice would like to thank the staff of the Bentley Care Centre for their kindness, empathy, and amazing care. It truly was home, and you are all Angels.
