Doreen Alice (Pike) Neumeier

Doreen Alice Neumeier, aged 88, died peacefully at Bentley Care Center on October 27, 2025. She was born in Rimbey, Alberta on May 30, 1937, as the third of ten children to Orion and Margaret Pike (nee Wilkins).

Doreen married Everall Neumeier on November 18, 1954, and together they made their home farming west of Bentley while raising their family. Their marriage spanned nearly 71 years, with Everall passing away just 21 days prior to Doreen. Doreen always kept her door open for loved ones, prepared delicious meals, and frequently welcomed her siblings to stay with her.

In addition to her parents, Doreen was preceded in death by her brothers, David, Donald, Dennis, Doug, Dwight, Duane; her sister, Donna Gittins; and her daughter-in-law, Alice Neumeier.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Rick) Prieston of Stony Plain, Alberta; her son, Barry of Bentley; grandson, Chad (Gwendolyn) of Edmonton; sisters, Diane Hanson of Rimbey and Darlene Metro of Bentley. Doreen leaves behind many other relatives who will miss her dearly.

A Joint Celebration of Life for both Doreen and Everall will take place at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel (4937 - 49 Ave, Rimbey) on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
