Durwin Ray Blabey

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Durwin Ray Blabey.

Durwin arrived in this world on February 9th, 1995 in Hazelton, British Columbia. From a young age, Durwin was always adventurous and climbing around and friendly to all he met. He loved dirt-biking, playing outside and snowboarding. Around third grade, Durwin and his family moved to Lacombe so he could attend College Heights Christian School. He eventually went on to attend and graduate from Lacombe Composite High School where he also played football. Durwin made friends wherever he went. Following high school, Durwin pursued his interests in the plumbing and heavy-duty mechanic industries. As an adult, Durwin enjoyed spending his free time fishing, hiking, and spending time with his friends.

Durwin leaves to mourn his passing his grandparents, Jerry and Linda Daigle, his sister Tanisha Otieno (Brian), nephews Sibuor and Jael, step-father Laurel Janzen, his aunts Melanie Slusar (Jim) and Krista Gill (Chris) and their sons, Uncle Tom Blabey (Marg), Uncle Neil Blabey, Uncle Luke Blabey (Sheri), Uncle Leonard Blabey (Laura), Uncle Garth Blabey, Uncle Gary Blabey (Patty), Uncle Clifford (Sandra), Uncle John, and Aunt Rena Dhalke (Ralph). He also leaves behind many cousins, great aunts and great uncles, extended family and friends. Durwin was predeceased by his parents, Shannan Lee Blabey (Daigle) and Ray Donald Blabey, his uncle Edward Blabey, and his paternal grandparents Neil and Alma (Parsons) Blabey. Durwin’s family look forward to seeing him again one day in heaven.

A Celebration of Life Service for Durwin will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Rosthern, Saskatchewan (1400 4 Avenue) on Monday, July 22nd, 2024 at 1:00pm.

Memorial Donations in honour of Durwin may be directed to a charity supporting Mental Health & Wellness.
