Edna was a proud Brown Owl and a commissioner of the Girl Guides Association in Manning. For many years Edna worked as a home care aid with the Manning Health Unit and volunteered many hours with the Manning Hospital Auxillary. Edna was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Manning. In the early ’90s, Edna moved to Lacombe where she began her love of quilting and spent many hours creating beautiful quilts to give to her family. Lacombe was the place where she welcomed family and where her grandchildren would gather around.
As we mourn the loss of Edna Taschuk, let us also celebrate the peaceful life she lived. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and humour that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
