It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Langmuir wishes to announce his passing. Edward passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on March 4, 2025, with his daughter and son-in-law by his side, at the age of 94 years.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Rachel Deetjen (Chad Deetjen); grandsons, Dustin Langmuir, Lucky Langmuir, Kaleb Edwards Deetjen and Tanner Deetjen; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Edward had a huge heart for all humanity. But he held a special place in his heart for his daughter and grandsons. He had a love for ice fishing and bike riding. Many a day he could be spotted on the Bentley bike path heading to the concession for an ice cream before riding back. When he wasn't working as a driller on the oil rigs, he could be found in his garage, which was converted to an upholstery shop. Man, could he make an old couch look brand new again!
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bentley Community Hall on March 22, 2025 at 2pm.
Special thanks to the hospital staff who took such great loving care of him and his family during his last days.
