Born on October 5th, 1944. Elwood grew up on the farm, learnt the value of hard work from his father and to take pride in one’s work. He held a love for animals (especially dogs) and enjoying the outdoors throughout his life. However His true love and calling was the open road. Elwood worked in the trucking industry and oilfield his whole life. Most knew Elwood as Woody, and to this day,  his name is still legend in certain circles.
Elwood was a father that was always there to support his children but would not hesitate to set them straight if he saw it was needed. He was like this everyone in his life. Always with a story to share, he loved to sit around a pot of coffee.

As per Elwood’s wishes he was cremated in Lacombe, Ab. With a family viewing and small gathering to follow.
