ESTHER DIANE JEMPSON

1951 - 2020

 It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Esther Diane Jempson of Gull Lake, Alberta at her home on October 6, 2020 at the age of 69.

Esther is survived by her loving husband Duane, three children:

Kristine (Paul) Roberts and their children Samantha (Brook) Speed (daughter Jolene) and Michael Liebig;

Dennis (Dawn) Jempson and their children Teisha Asselin (son Isaiah, daughter Aria), Kelton (Chantelle) Jempson (daughter Claire) and Reanna (Johnny) Jempson.

Michael (Joleen) Burnett (sons Jared (Jolene) Burnett (daughter Scarlett) and Brandon Burnett, (daughters Kaylee Burnett and Mackenzie Langhan).

As well as extended family and an abundance of friends.

Born in Red Deer, AB, Esther was the second of six children.  Her devotion to her family and her faith brought purpose and much joy to her life.  She travelled extensively, coast to coast on four wheels or two.  When Esther & Duane landed in Gull Lake, they found a place they could truly call home – filled with many friends and activities like book club, floor curling, happy hour, to name a few.

She accepted all for who they were and saw the good in everyone.  She loved to bring family together with laughter, love, dinner and a prayer…. followed by games and beer!

Funeral service will be held at Wilson’s Chapel in Lacombe on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 11:00am.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions (capacity 100), the service will also be available for viewing on this site. following the Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Food Bank in honour of Esther.
