Eugene Douglas Yaworski

Eugene Douglas Yaworski passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda; his sons Trevor (Tara), Jason (Jane) and Kelly (Caroline), and his cherished grandchildren, Stanton, Victoria, Benedict, Landon, Maxfield, Ainsley and Sascha.  He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph in 2002, Jennie in 2008 and his brother Roy (Marylou) in 1995.  He will be greatly missed by his brothers Ed (Mary), Joseph (Zina) and William, as well he will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Born in Hamilton, ON, Eugene earned his teaching degree from McMaster University and devoted his life and career to Education.  He was a dedicated and loving teacher who had a remarkable ability to make learning fun and meaningful.  He left a lasting and positive impact on his students through both daytime English classes and evening adult classes.

Eugene achieved the three goals that he set for himself.  Earning his teaching degree, owning a 1967 Volvo and owning and flying an airplane.  He was also very devoted and passionate about running a photography business, capturing many treasured moments of many weddings and special occasions, group photography, family and travel. 

Eugene was a kind spirit with a wonderful sense of humour and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  He and Linda were devoted members of the Lacombe Evangelical Free Church.

Services to honour and Celebrate his Life will be held in Ontario and Lacombe, AB, at a later date.
