Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Loraine Hopper wishes to announce her passing at the Rimbey Hospital on August 28, 2023, at the age of 87 years.
Loraine spent the majority of her career as a registered nurse working in the Rimbey Hospital. She was a kind, caring and hard-working nurse. She loved to garden, and always had a huge vegetable garden and beautiful flower gardens. She loved to dance and was often seen doing the Charleston around the house. Loraine loved music and we all have fond memories of Tom Jones, Nat King Cole, the Kingston Trio, and many others. She could have been a professional whistler. She really was amazing!
Loraine is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dennis; son, Brett Maimann (Kathy); daughters, Denise May (Darren), Kim Purdy (Frank Wilson), and Kathy Hopper; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Loraine was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Hopper in 1984; son, Kevin Hopper in 2013; grandson, Chance May in 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be held September 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 4049 63 Avenue, Lacombe.
Memorial Donations in honour of Loraine may be directed to the Rimbey Legion.
