Freda (Reimer) Sheane

It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of Freda Sheane on October 20, 2021 in the Red Deer hospital. She had been residing in The Hamlets Care Facility in Red Deer since May of 2019. Earlier this year, in May, she celebrated her 100th birthday with a family  picnic.

Freda was predeceased by an infant daughter in 1943, by her husband Henry Sheane after 48 years of marriage, and by her daughter Elphilda (Phil).  She is survived by her daughter Gail (Allen) Meikle, son Garth (Judy) Sheane, son Terry (Jane) Sheane, son Blair (Goldie) Sheane, son Blake (Cathy) Sheane, daughter Nona (David) Anderson, and son Morris Sheane. She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren all who brought her pride and joy.

Funeral services will be held at the Hoadley church and we ask that those who attended are invited family members due to restrictions brought about by the Covid pandemic. Freda will be interred in the Hoadley cemetery beside her late husband.

The family expresses gratitude to the staff at The Hamlets that cared for Freda the past few years. They became her friends and made her life enjoyable during the years she spent with them.
