Gladys Mae (Ebeling) Seltenrich

GLADYS MAE SELTENRICH

1920 - 2021

Gladys Mae Seltenrich (nee Ebeling) of Lacombe passed away on Sunday, June 27, in the Lacombe Hospital at the age of 101 years.  She was born on February 29, 1920, on her father’s farm on the southern shore of Gull Lake, Alberta. 

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Blacker, of Red Deer County; her daughter-in-law, Susanne Seltenrich, of Nanaimo, B.C.; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her husband, Wilhelm Seltenrich and her son, Stanley Seltenrich.

Gladys lived most of her adult life on the family farm near Bentley, Alberta.  She moved to the Lodge in Lacombe following Wilhelm’s passing in 2007.  Gladys treasured opportunities to socialize with others and she had many long-term friends in the Lacombe area.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A. M. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Bentley Cemetery.  A Funeral Service will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel at 1:00 P.M. in Lacombe, Alberta with Rev, David Holmes officiating.
